Pouring It All Out

My heart is a bit racy this morning. I’m so excited! I’m kinda bursting at the seams about learning all these platforms and creating this website. And I think it’s a combo of Holy Spirit power, emotional support, green tea, a healthy breakfast, vitamins and honey-water. Yeah, I made that with the dregs of the hard honey in the bottle – yumm!

I spoke to a few friends today and even that sentence makes me giddy. A good friend is more precious than gold.

I’ve been scared for sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long. Even longer o's than that

about women friendships. Nevertheless, Perfect Love casts out fear. So, what I can’t do, Jesus does for me…and He is taking away my fears. It goes way beyond wanting or needing approval…

I want to be known and in turn, know others. Isn’t that what we all want? Deep down, we want to be loved for who we are and who we are

BECOMING

not negatively labeled and stuck on the shelf like some expired generic brand of mac-n-cheese waiting to be reconstituted after the apocalypse as a last resort of survival. That reminds me of Wolfgang Puck and when we cleaned out my father’s kitchen cupboards in Las Vegas before moving him to California. My dad, what a riot he was. I will have to make a whole section in my website just for Dad. He liked a good bargain and would use coupons to buy almost everything at the grocery store. He also didn’t throw anything away…except maybe bathroom and kitchen garbage. The rest he kept. When I looked in the high up cupboards, I began noticing how many really good cans there were…then I looked at the dates. YIKES! Almost everything was expired…

I mean looong gone. Wolfgang Puck was a young man on the label. TIME MACHINE YOUNG! That can was over 15 years expired! It was so unbelievable I kept it another 5 years before throwing it out because I thought of the possible botulism or explosion that might ensue on a rainy day with bad lighting. I kept it in with my vases, but still, it was dangerous…potentially.

Who wants to be left on the shelf for 5…10…15…or even 20 or more years?!

It happens. It happened to me. It happened to that can of heat pressured soup. GAH! Let’s not waste another day waiting to be used, seen or heard…we have GOOD NEWS to share! We are valuable NOW! The Apostle Paul said it this way:

“But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.” Philippians 2:17 (New American Standard Bible)

The more we pour out

what God has poured in,

the fuller and more satisfying

our lives become.
