Verse 1 She was sittin on the city bench mindin her own business, but she was hopin someone would notice she was desperate for a friend Dozens passed by, no smiles, no good mornings how r u's? She was thinking I'm really useless, who would want me anyhow?

Verse 2 Livin' long past two wives, most his buddies are gone too. The broken hip couldn't keep him down, he decided to push through. Now he walks where he'd run with three legs on the ground and he gets to the gym most days. He's a man, he's a lover, he's a fighter and a brother with those memories he stays.

Chorus Tell her she is beautiful Tell him he is kind Give a hug or a smile it can last a little while and ask for real how you doin' ?

Be still then - listen well. A helping hand won't hurt a bit just open up, tip your cup and pour a little love on it.

Verse 3 Blurry-eyed Mama's up at dawn while kids are sleepin in. She knows there could be monsters soon enough at school again. Will a sandwich help at all, an extra yummy snack? She says a prayer and wraps up hope into that paper sack.

Chorus

Tell her she is beautiful

Tell him he is kind Give a hug or a smile it can last a little while and ask for real how you doin' ?

Be still then - listen well. A helping hand won't hurt a bit just open up, tip your cup and pour a little love on it.
